General comments
Mefloquine: contraïndicaties: kinderen < 3 mnd en/of < 5 kg, psychiatrische stoornissen en convulsies in de familie-anamnese. Gelijktijdig gebruik met kinine, kinidine en chloroquine kan electrocardiografische afwijkingen veroorzaken en kans op convulsies verhogen (mefloquine toedienen 12 uur na staken van kininetherapie); gelijktijdig gebruik met diverse anti-epileptica (o.a. fenobarbital, fenytoïne) kan convulsies veroorzaken.
